This Cookie Policy describes the types of cookies used by the meetive.com website (the "Site"), the purposes of the installed cookies and how the user can select or deselect the cookies on the Site that benefit from the proposed services.
We use cookies to make our Site easier and more intuitive. The data collected through cookies is used to make the browsing experience more pleasant and more efficient in the future.
1. What Cookies are
Cookies, as defined by the Italian Data Protection Authority, are small text strings that the applications visited by the user send to their terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored to be re-transmitted to the same applications upon the user's next visit.
The term "cookie" refers both to cookies in the strict sense and to all similar technologies.
Cookies are used to access online services more quickly and to improve user navigation through session monitoring, storage of user information, faster content loading, etc.
2. Types of Cookies
Cookies can be:
- First-party cookies: proprietary cookies used by the data controller to allow the user to navigate more efficiently and/or to monitor the actions performed by the user;
- Third-party cookies: cookies set by a site other than the one currently being visited, to allow the user to navigate more efficiently and/or to monitor the actions performed.
In addition, different types of cookies are distinguished:
- Technical Cookies: used solely to "carry out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Italian Privacy Code). Technical cookies include:
- Session or Navigation Cookies: ensure normal navigation and use of the Site, allowing for example faster browsing, completing a purchase or authenticating to access protected areas, and are necessary for its correct operation.
- Functionality Cookies: allow the user to navigate based on a series of selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.
- First-party Analytics Cookies: legally treated as technical cookies if used directly by the Site owner without profiling the user but only to collect information, in aggregated and anonymous form, on the number of users and how they visit the Site for statistical purposes and to improve the Site's performance.
- Third-party Analytics Cookies: provided by third parties and treated as technical cookies if the third parties do not profile the user using tools suitable to reduce the identifying power of cookies (for example, by masking significant portions of the IP address) and without crossing the information collected with other information already in their possession.
For technical cookies, only the publication of the Cookie Policy is required, without the need to request consent.
